In Memory of

We always wonder why so many animals, especially dogs, struggle to find new homes! Many of them live more than half their lives at the Shelter without the chance of finding a new loving permanent home. Many of them suffered abuse in the past and didn't experience love and care until they came to the Tierschutzliga Dorf where our carers and volunteers work tirelessly to show them that there are good caring people in the world too!

It is especially hard when it is time to say good bye to these animals that have been with us for a long time at the Tierschutzliga Dorf. This was their home and we were their family. We loved every single one of them and they loved us back!

This page is in memory of the animals we had the pleasure to know, love and care for, after a final good bye they have now moved on, but will always stay in our hearts.

Es weht der Wind ein Blatt vom Baum,
von vielen Blättern eines.
Das eine Blatt man merkt es kaum,
denn eines ist ja keines.
Doch dieses eine Blatt allein
war Teil von unserem Leben.
Drum wird dies eine Blatt allein,
uns immer wieder fehlen.

Am 11.1.2012 ist unser Hundeopi Bello über die Regenbogenbrücke gegangen. Seit September 2011 wohnte er bei uns im Heim, nachdem er einige Jahre in einem kalten Zwinger nur mit einer harten Hundehütte leben musste.

Bello genoss es sehr, endlich einen weichen Korb in einem warmen Raum zum Schlafen zu haben. Er liebte die Spaziergänge, auch wenn seine Beinchen schwach waren. Doch irgendwann halfen alle Medikamente nicht mehr. Wenn das Leben droht zum Leiden zu werden und keine Aussicht mehr auf Besserung besteht, dann ist es Zeit von einem geliebten Vierbeiner Abschied zu nehmen.
