Little Lela with the big round eyes came to us from the Polish Shelter in Piotrkow in the end of August 2010. She has grown up at the Polish shelter without human contact and only surrounded by other dogs. Her only contact with people was around feeding time and she has therefore never been touched.
Lela had to get used to human touch and fell the freedom of being taken for a walk though the fields and forest. She is a shy dog who needs time to get used to the people around her and to gain trust. But we have noticed that she quickly becomes very close to the people who care for her. With the right amount of love and care Lela will be a trusting and loving little companion.
Lela is house trained when she is taken for regular walks. Sofar she is not used to life in a city so the perfect home for her would be in or near the countryside.
Lela’s new family must be aware that she may be fearful of certain situations and react accordingly. She has to be introduced to changes very slowly.
If there is already another dog in Lela’s new family this would help her tremendously when settling in to a new environment.
News: Since the end of December, Lela has been with a foster family near Dresden. She has developed into a lovely dog who loves to be with people and enjoys getting cuddles from her foster-mum.
