Captain Hook was found by an animal friend in September in Rehnsdorf. This poor cat must have suffered the most horrendous pains as his left eye hang dead out if the eye socket. Immediately he was rushed to the Vet who removed the damaged eye and after only a couple of days we could see that the cat, now named Captain Hook, was doing better.

The Vet assumed that Hook must have been wandering around with his eye in that condition for quite some time but due to his otherwise good health he must have had a home where he was taken care of! Hook’s situation also let us to believe that he might have been dumped by his former owner, maybe due to the high costs of an eye operation. Hook had been left to his fate!

In the meantime Hook is doing great! He is now walking through life with just one eye and it seems not to bother him at all! Hook is very very loving, he "talks" a lot and simply loves giving people hugs and to get attention back.

We would like to find a family for Captain Hook who, after getting used to a new place, will be able to offer him the possibility to go outside and view the world even if only with one eye.

Captain Hook was introduced at the website of Lausitzer Rundschau with a short Video. See Video
